Genre:

andrew cs is a many media artist & creative programmer from the american midwest. exploring recursive time loops through their own digital memories, andrew’s sound blends captured spaces with bending synthesized loops improvised on custom software. following a half-chance encounter with a field recorder as a teen, andrew began cataloging moments of temporary calm - archiving disk drives of present textures in conversation with a future self. following 2021’s “*” EP, their debut album, “caught in pointers”, strings together a non-linear coming-of-age story from 6 years of altered field recordings. collaging data found between the rural landscapes of their youth & the oscillations of chicago as an adult, andrew imagines their own past as a four-dimensional space to navigate freely with digital media.
