Stillpoint: Helix is the culmination of a five-year creative process during which kindred spirits of Purl were invited to reimagine the title track of his seminal album, originally released by the legendary Silent Season record label back in 2015. 

12 artists from 7 different countries produced the 12 strands of the Helix, and a perfect coda (13) for a breathtaking unfolding, leading us from the depths of the still void, to the heights of ecstasy experienced at the peak moment on a dance floor. The incredible diversity among these versions—all released as singles during a year leading up to the physical edition—presents a listening experience that flows like a dream in album form with surprises around every bend. The echoing of a familiar theme throughout the wide range of interpretations feels like glimpses of the same home recalled from vastly different points of view.

Presented in a limited glass master CD edition that also includes a booklet with the visual representations selected by each artist to accompany their rework of ‘Stillpoint’, this release is a timeless honorary tribute to one of the most loved ambient techno albums of all time.
