These guys play a noisy, almost ramshackle style of raw blackened punk, very harsh and distorted in sound, and aggressive and combative in its approach with shouty hoarse vocals (which are actually quite clean), thumping beats and hypnotic, almost tribalistic looping rhythms in which sharp droning sounds and melodies suggestive of folk or indigenous genres from Africa or other continents can be heard. These other details bring a ritual psychedelic influence into the music and almost make it sound like a celebration of rebellion, clear and sharp and yet raw and distorted in its textures all at once. The first four songs of "Merveilleux décombres” whiz by in that psychedelic ritual blackened punk blur that may bewilder and befuddle Black Metal fans who until now thought they heard everything possible to hear in experimental Black Metal.
