For their second album, Vaurien has become a duo, thereby enriching their sonic palette with new, frenzied riffs, always accompanied by their trusty drum machine that never lets them down. The album is more tightly constructed and incisive, tinged with experimental passages that define the band’s signature sound—a blend of punk, garage, black metal, dark folk, and wild electronic music. That’s all there is to it.
